Fran Morrissey is one of the principals
in the Morrissey Family BusinessesSM
which is comprised of John Morrissey
Accountants, Inc.,
Staff Management,
Inc., Market
Dimensions, Inc. and the
newest addition, MPower HRIS Solutions,
Inc. This group of companies, all
headquartered in Rockford, IL, is dedicated to providing
administrative solutions to organizations that want to
focus on their business.
Fran is the
Chief Executive Officer and majority shareholder of
Staff Management, a human resource consulting and
management firm and Professional Employer Organization
(PEO). She co-founded this company with John F.
Morrissey in 1983.
Prior to starting
Staff Management, Fran worked with clients at John
Morrissey Accountants from 1972 – 1985 in the areas of
accounting, taxation, and small business
consulting. Fran has over 30 years of
experience in the business and human resource fields as
well as the knowledge she has gained from owning and
managing her own company.
Fran recently concluded a
two-year term as Chairperson of the Board of
SwedishAmerican Health System and she continues to
serve as a board member. She is a member
of several other organizations including the Rockford
Area Chamber of Commerce and the Women's Health Consumer
Advisory Board. Fran is a past board member of the
Rockford Council of 100 (now RAEDC), the Regional
Vision Project Board, a local bank board, and past
President of the National Association of Professional
Employer Organizations (NAPEO). Additionally, she served
as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Employer
Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC), a national
standard setting and monitoring entity for the
professional employer
industry. Fran's professional
recognition includes: Top 500
Female-Owned Businesses (Working Women Magazine) for
three years; Top 25 Chicagoland Women Business Owners
(Crain's Chicago Business and NAWBO) for two years;
Regional Winner of the Working Women Excellence
Award for Customer/Client Service (Women’s Business
Development Center & Women’s Business Enterprise
National Council); Connie Tremulis Award for Business
Owners (YWCA); as well as the Woman Business Owner of
the Year Award and Small Business of the Year Award
(Rockford Chamber of Commerce).
